A bit better than Peasants, but not by too much. They certainly move faster, that's for sure. They can quickly cross the battlefield, forcing your opponents into hand-to-hand combat.

Orcs are no better than Archers; they take a lot of hits from enemy shooters. That aside, they can be quite punishing in large groups.

Wolves are good in that they get to attack twice a turn. The major drawback is their pathetic defense. They are fast attackers, however.

The trouble with Ogres is that they are so slow. That makes them more suited to castle garrisons. However, when in battle, they can take a lot of damage before falling. They are useful for protecting your weaker troops.

If, at the end of a round, Trolls have taken damage, they regenerate their lost HP completely next turn. Because they are the strongest shooters, they are very useful when attacking castles.
