 |
Gold Mine: Provides 1000 per day. |

Sawmill: Provides 2 per day. |

Ore Mine: Provides 2 per day. |

Alchemist: Provides 1 per day. |

Sulfur Mine: Provides 1 per day. |
 |
Crystal Mine: Provides 1 per day. |
 |
Gem Mine: Provides 1 per day. |
Temporary Locations
These locations disappear once visited, so obviously, only one hero gets their benefits.

Campfire: The first visitor gets 400 to 600 and 4 to 6 units of a random resource. |
 |
Flotsam: The first hero to pick this out of the water usually gets some wood and/or gold. Sometimes, there is nothing. |
 |
Genie Lamp: Allows you to hire genies for 650 1 . When they are all hired, the lamp disappears. |
 |
Message in a bottle: Sometimes gives useful tips to the hero who fishes it up. Otherwise, it's just talk. |
 |
Sea Chest: The first hero to fish this chest out of the sea gets some gold, or an artifact. And it often is empty. |
 |
Shipwreck Survivor: When you take this unfortunate guy from the sea, he will be so happy that he will reward you with an artifact. |
 |
Treasure Chest: Allows you to take either gold or experience (choose from 500 exp or 1000 gold, 1000 exp or 1500 gold, or 1500 exp or 2000 gold). Sometimes contains an artifact. |
Permanent Locations
Single Visit
These locations will not disappear when visited, but they may only be visited by one hero, or once by each hero.

Abandoned Wagon: The first visitor may get an artifact, or a small amount of a random resource. |
 |
City of the Dead:A visiting hero can fight a smattering of undead troops (think Necromancer). If he wins, he can recruit Liches there. |
 |
Demon Cave: Only one hero gets to enjoy the benefits of this place. When you enter, you may be held for ransom. If you don't pay, the demon will eat you! Or you may get some gold, experience, or even an artifact. For more on this, check the General Information page. |
 |
Derelict Ship: The same as the Shipwreck, with one difference: the shipwreck can be visited by boat or land, but the Derelict Ship can only be visited by boat. |
 |
Gazebo: Each hero may visit a single gazebo only once. However, a hero can visit all the other gazebos on the same map. Each time, the hero gets a free 1000 experience. |
 |
Graveyard: The first visitor here can battle a bunch of Skeletons for an artifact or gold. Subsequent visitors get bad morale. |
 |
Lean-To: Like the Abandoned Wagon, the first visitor here gets a small amount of some resource. Sometimes, there's nothing here. |
 |
Magellan's Maps: If you come here by boat, you can buy maps of the water for 1000 . Not all will be revealed though. Even if you visit again, the map remains the same. |
 |
Mercenary Camp: Every hero can visit here once. Find the others on the same map for more increases! A visitor here gets +1 Attack. |
 |
Obelisk: Only one hero from each color can visit a single obelisk. However, you can visit all of them on a single map once each. |
 |
Observation Tower: Reveals the surrounding area. |
 |
Pyramid: The first hero here can fight some undead troops. If he wins, he can learn a high-level spell. You must have the right level of Wisdom, though! |
 |
Shipwreck: Basically a floating graveyard. The first visitor here can battle a bunch of Ghosts for some reward. Again, later visitors get bad morale. |
 |
Skeleton: Most of the time, there's nothing here. However, take the time to visit the dead, as you just may get an artifact once upon a blue moon. |
 |
Sphinx: The first hero here must correctly answer a riddle, or the sphinx will eat him. The correct answer gains you a worthwhile reward (artifacts, lots of gold). |
 |
Stonehenge: Each hero can visit a single Stonehenge once. For their trouble, each Stonehenge visited gets them +1 Spell Power. |
 |
Tree of Knowledge: Each hero can visit one Tree of Knowledge once. If they have enough Leadership, they get a level-up for free. If not, they can pay 10 for the same effect. |
 |
Witch Doctor's Hut: Each hero can visit here once. However, if there are other huts, they can visit them too. Each visitor gets +1 Knowledge. |
 |
Witches' Hut: When visited, the witch gives a free random secondary skill. Only at the basic level though. |
 |
Xanadu: If the visiting hero has enough Diplomacy or Leadership, he can get all his primary skills increased by 1 each. |
Multiple Visit
These places can be visited repeatedly, as many times as you want.
 |
Abandoned Mine: If you visit this place you will fight a group of Ghosts. If you win, the Abandoned Mine will become a productive Gold Mine. |
 |
Artesian Spring: Visiting this place increases your morale and gives you a little extra movement for the rest of the day. |
 |
Buoy: +1 morale for the next battle. |
 |
Dragon City: You can fight Dragons here. If you win, you will be given an opportunity to hire Red Dragons into your army. |
 |
Factory: You can upgrade Iron Golems to Steel Golems for a price. |
 |
Faerie Ring: +1 luck for your next battle. |
 |
Fountain: +1 luck for your next battle. |
 |
Glowing Lith: Teleports your hero to another part of the land instantly. You come out the matching lith. |
 |
Hill Fort: You can upgrade Orcs, Ogres, and Dwarves to Orc Chieftains, Ogre Lords and Battle Dwarves respectively. It's free! |
 |
Idol: +1 luck for your next battle. |
 |
Lighthouse: Lets your ships move further over water. |
 |
Magic Garden: You can come here once a week and catch the little Leprechaun and he gives you either 5 or 500 . |
 |
Oasis: +1 morale for your next battle and extra movement for the remainder of the day. |
 |
Oracle: Acts as if you have 4 or more Thieves' Guilds. Shows the relative rankings of all the current players. |
 |
Shrine of the First Circle: You can learn a level 1 spell if you have a Spell Book. |
 |
Shrine of the Second Circle: You can learn a level 2 spell if you have a Spell Book. |
 |
Shrine of the Third Circle: You can learn a level 3 spell if you have a Spell Book. |
 |
Signpost: Serves no purpose other than to tell the name of the closest town or castle. |
 |
Temple: +1 morale for your next battle. |
 |
Trading Post: Lets you exchange some resources for other resources as if in a marketplace. The trading rate here is much better though. |
 |
Watering Hole: Gives you some extra movement for the remainder of the day and +1 morale for your next battle. |
 |
Watermill: If you are the first visitor each week, you get 1000 . |
 |
Well: Restores your spell points (or mana) to maximum. |
 |
Whirlpool: Like Glowing liths on Land, except these are in water. When you go through, you will lose some of your weakest troops. |
 |
Windmill: If you are the first visitor each week, you get a small amount of a random resource for free. |
Creature Dwellings
Each week, you can recruit troops from these dwellings for the same price as in a castle. There are always more troops available in the first week than will be produced in subsequent weeks. Therefore, if you need to expand your army quickly, drop on by these places in the first few days of a game. Also, sometimes they will join you for free. Other times you have to hire them as you would in a castle. Make sure you've got room in your army!

Archer's House: Some Archers will join your army for free. |

Desert Tent: You can hire Nomads here. |

Dwarf Cottage: Some Dwarves will join your army for free. |

Excavation Site: You can hire Skeletons here. |
 |
Goblin Hut: Some Goblins will join your army for free. |
 |
Wagon Camp: You can hire Rogues here. |
 |
Halfling Hole: Some Halflings will join your army for free. |
 |
Peasant Hut: Some Peasants will join your army for free. |
 |
Ruins: You can hire Medusas here. |
 |
Tree City: You can hire Sprites here. |
 |
Treehouse: Some Sprites will join your army for free. |
 |
Troll Bridge: When you visit here, you have to fight some Trolls. When you win, you can hire Trolls. |
